Why Weighted?
Carrying or holding a weighted item can help some individuals feel grounded, feel calmer, or be more relaxed. The added pressure to a person's muscles helps reduce anxiety and allows him/her to be more attentive. Stuffed animals are less obvious than a weighted blanket or vest but still calming, so they are a great choice for trips to the store, school, or any place your child doesn't want to feel different. The weight plus the touch stimulation from the furry animal work together to create a unique sensory experience.
**Please note, not all of the animals are weighted. Some are too small to hold the weight. See the description under each item.

My Inspiration
My inspiration comes from my time teaching young children. I often encountered students that need a little more support or comfort in order to get through the day. Weighted vests or blankets can become cumbersome and to some, embarrassing. I created cuddly soft, weighted animals to accompany a student throughout their day, be a companion during an outing or just a soft piece to keep them company.
